VitiDesk browser demo

The interactive browser demo uses fictional sample data held temporarily in each open tab. Demo changes are not uploaded or saved in browser storage. Refreshing, resetting or reopening starts the original samples again. Please do not enter real employee, company or banking information. A sample PDF you download remains on your device after the demo resets.

We count anonymous demo openings, estimated unique browsers, visits with an interaction, and the sections explored. A separate first-party random browser cookie lasts up to 90 days; a new random visit reference stays in memory until the page closes or refreshes. Only protected references and fixed section labels are stored for deduplication and aggregate counts. We do not collect information typed into the demo, payroll figures, names, bank details, screenshots or hardware fingerprints, and do not link these counts to licences or installer downloads. Known bots, prefetches, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control requests are excluded. Blocking the cookie excludes usage counting without preventing the demo from working. Clearing cookies or using another browser may count again.

The browser demo does not activate a licence, send installation check-ins or count as an installer download. The website still serves static files and may retain normal hosting access logs. The installed Windows and Mac application has separate data and licensing behaviour.

VitiDesk installation and licence activity

New VitiDesk versions send Example Tech a random installation ID, Windows/Mac, app version and reported activation status while open and online: on first launch, then at most once every 48 hours. The private admin stores a protected reference and first/last contact times. Reinstalling without app data can create another ID. Reports cannot prove a valid licence or a modified app. Older versions do not send these check-ins.

Server-verified licence checks and activation attempts tied to a known licence are recorded separately. The latest 50 activity events per licence are retained in this view; transfer/reset history is separate. No employee records, payroll, banking details, local passwords or recovery secrets are sent. Offline use has no expiry; reporting failures never revoke permission. There is no reporting when the app is closed.

• Basic technical information such as browser type, device type, referring page, approximate location, and website activity where server logs or analytics are enabled.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share only what is reasonably necessary with trusted service providers that help us host systems, communicate, process business records, or protect our services. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights, or in connection with a business reorganization.

Service providers are expected to handle information securely and only for the purpose for which it was provided.

5. Cookies and analytics

This website uses essential cookies for security, forms and core functionality. VitiDesk checks your activation code before downloading an installer and uses an essential, protected download-session cookie for up to one hour. The code is not stored in that cookie. A separate optional anonymous cookie, lasting up to one year, helps us count the same browser once per installer platform. Different browsers or cleared cookies may count separately. We store a protected identifier and platform count, not a hardware fingerprint, raw IP address or payroll data. Known automated requests, prefetches, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control requests are excluded from this download counter. Blocking the optional counting cookie does not prevent a download; allowing the essential download-session cookie is necessary. Licence activation records separately show computers currently assigned a licence.

6. Retention and security

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including legal, contractual, accounting, and security requirements. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to provide access to, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law and legitimate record-keeping requirements. You may also withdraw marketing consent at any time.

8. External services and international processing

Our website may link to third-party websites or use providers that process information outside Fiji. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Where we use external providers, we select services appropriate to the information and purpose involved.

We may update this policy as our website, services, or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised update date.
